Amelia Dennis

A Sydney-born medical professional, Amelia graduated from Bond University in 2017 with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMedSt). Her formative experience during medical school included completing her Doctor of Medicine Project in a remote hospital in the Solomon Islands for five weeks, where she donated walking aids and witnessed firsthand the healthcare disparities between developed and developing nations.

Following graduation, she began her medical career in Queensland before relocating to New South Wales to commence Basic Physician Training. She successfully completed her associated examinations in 2022, having gained extensive experience across metropolitan, regional, and rural healthcare settings throughout both states. She is scheduled to complete her specialty training and achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in early 2026.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to optimising patient care and improving quality of life for individuals from diverse backgrounds presenting with a broad spectrum of clinical conditions. Her approach to medicine emphasises quality and compassionate care, underpinned by strong communication skills and exceptional bedside manner that has earned her respect amongst peers, patients, and families alike.

As a hardworking professional and lifelong learner, she actively pursues opportunities to expand her knowledge and professional development. She is dedicated to quality improvement and contributes to clinical audits and hospital standard of care guidelines. She maintains an active interest in clinical research, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific meetings.
